I don't know how to start this post as I'm still trying hard to contain my excitement.

It was Valentines Day and I was making this doodle for the husband. Suddenly, my coworker came to me and handed me bouquet and chocolates.

My husband is not the type who gives flowers and chocolates or even surprises during Valentines or any other occasion.

My heart was racing but I kept my excitement level low. I have this thought that maybe my coworker was just joking with me and that the gifts aren't really for me. I had to read the note first to make sure they are for me.

When I saw my daughter's name on it (telling me to share my chocolates), that was when I got confirmation that the gifts are indeed for me. ♥


My hands were literally shaking while I continued to color the doodle I made for the husband.


I'm sure people would think I'm making such a big deal out of this, and I sound like some highschooler who just received gifts from a long-time crush.

Well, yes! This is the first time someone has ever did this to me.
The first time to have someone who accepted me despite all the wrongs I have done.
To have a man who chose to stay and love me despite all my shortcomings. ♥

I love you, my Mr. Kulot! You are definitely one of the best blessings God has ever given me. ♥♥♥

I am writing this because I know there are a lot of people out there whose hearts got broken.

I know it isn't easy to move on just like everyone is telling you to do. I don't even want to compare each heartache. Your pain is not lesser than your friend's or theirs lesser than yours.

I hope to reach out to you in a way and make you feel that you're not alone. That you're not the only person who has gone through this. I know it's hard, but I'm sure you'll get over this.

Before I got to meet Mr. Kulot, I, too, have my share of heartaches. But I did get over them and I am living my life now with my significant other and a cute little daughter. :)

The day some guy left me, I was filled with so many questions.

"What did I do wrong?" "Did he ever loved me?" "Was I just used all this time?"

I feel I deserved to know the truth.

Days passed and I'm not even close to finding the answers. The worst part is I know this was coming, I was just in denial that it would. I forced myself to believe in a "love" that I know never existed.
There were nights I cried myself to sleep, woke up the next day hoping for a good morning message that never came.

I prayed to God, not to bring him back, but to give me enough strength to accept that we were not meant to be. I prayed for guidance and courage to get through this.

I lived my days improving myself.
I know I had to be better because I deserved much better.
That's when it struck me.

"What did I do wrong?" "Did he ever loved me?" "Was I just used all this time?"

These aren't the truths that I should be seeking for.

What I need to see is the truth of my worth.
The truth about what and who really mattered.

When I realized this truth, I was able to see my true value.
It wasn't really a loss. He just didn't deserve me. And I didn't deserve him.

I surrounded myself with people who truly cares. For the first time, I felt like I didn't have to beg for attention. I got promoted. I accomplished greater things.
And all these I got without him.

There were times I wanted to reach out  and tell him how well my life has been doing. But then, there's really no need to do that because he is not a part of it, anymore.

All I could do now to get even with the past is to be better and to always turn to God.
I thanked Him because I know He's preparing me for someone so much better.

It took quite a while to remove him from my system but I eventually did.

Maybe God saw I was ready so He let me meet  Mr. Kulot. ☺

You see, I didn't just moved on with a snap of a finger. It didn't happen overnight. It is a process - a process of forgiveness, healing and moving forward. You don't really forget, you will just learn to accept and deal with the pain  until it hurts no more.

You may still be hurting today, but don't worry. You're not alone. Always talk to God and know that He always answers your prayers.

You're stronger than you think. You can get over this.
Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But someday you will.
Someday you will thank him/her for letting you go.

And that someday starts now. ☺

They say that when it's February, it is the month of "hearts". The time when people show their affection and gratitude to their partners. The time to celebrate love.

Is the person you are dating now the one you want to spend your lifetime with?

Any romantic relationship has its own ups and downs. Problems and challenges are also present and it's up to you to work together to overcome these trials.

But hey! How could you say you've had enough?

Here are some reasons why you should never get back together.

Constant On's and Off's
Everytime one or both of you is mad, you decide to break up. And when you get back together, you know you'll just break up again.

One-sided Intentions
You or your partner decides to stay because it is beneficial for you or him/her. (ie., money, fame, you-know-what).

Same Mistake for the nth Time
You forgave your partner once. You forgave him/her again the second time for the same mistake. And now s/he has done it again for the third time.

Purely Title.. or Physical
You're just in a relationship by name. No emotions involved.

Quantity Over Quality
You just stayed in a relationship because you were together for a very long time.. even if the feeling has long left you.

Unhealthy Relationship
You and your partner are all fights and quarrels that both of you haven't grown up in your relationship.

Not Happy
Well, simple. The relationship isn't making you happy at all.

These are just some of the reasons why you should not get back together.

But hey! There are A LOT MORE reasons to stay if you really love the person.

So if you think your partner is worth all the hardships, why give up? ;)

In a world filled with romantic movies, TV shows and books, almost everyone wants to experience being in a relationship. A lot wants to experience being in love and being loved in return. 

Yet, a lot of people still remain single.

A toast for all the single ladies and gents out there!

Here are some reasons why some people are not committed to a relationship yet.

Waiting for a Movie-kind of Love Story
Some people are too dreamy. They  wanted their special someones and their love stories to be exactly the same with the one from the movies.

Crush Has Someone Else
Basically, some remain single because the ones they wanted to end up with is in a relationship with someone else.

Friendzoned
The love of their lives can't see them anything more than really good friends.

"Unofficially Yours"
People just settle with the "fling"-thing. No commitments.

Not Over It
While some are excited to meet someone in the future, others are still looking back, wanting to relive the past.

In a Fictional Relationship
This is different from people waiting for their own movie love story. These people are so in love with their idols that they can't be committed to anybody else.

Silently Waiting
Some people remain single because they're waiting for that someone (who they don't even talk to) to notice them.

No Apple in the Eye... yet!
This may be the simplest reason. One does not like anyone as of the moment.

One-sided
Or this could also be another of those simplest reasons - their special someones don't feel the same way for them.

Inlove with Fam and Friends
Who needs a boyf or a girlf if there is already too much love coming from family and friends!

Busy with School / Career
For the busy bees, there is just no more time for loveydovey.

Too Many Choices
Why stick with one when you can date them all?

Traumatized
Some people are afraid to be in a relationship maybe because they are afraid of getting hurt *again*.

These are just some of the reasons why people are single. 

And no, I'm not saying being single is a bad thing. 
In fact, there is NOTHING wrong with being single! 

One can always find happiness and love even if they are not with their significant others yet. And it is really important to be happy with oneself rather than depending one's happiness on others.

So yay! Be happy! Enjoy the single life! Don't rush love because they'll come in God's time. And when that happens, stay happy and in love! ;)
